About The Way
The Way is a Christ-centered ministry in the favelas (slums) of São Paulo, Brazil that is making a profound impact on the lives of children and families in poverty, violence, and hopelessness. Led by Diego Rosa, The Way uses an approach centered on sports, culture, education, sustainability, and faith.
The favelas where The Way operates are dark places filled with poverty, drugs, violence, and despair. Many children grow up seeing family members arrested and imprisoned, with little hope of breaking free from these destructive patterns. However, The Way is showing these kids a different way – the way of Jesus Christ.
Through their programs, The Way is introducing children to the love and transformative power of Christ. They share the gospel, disciple young believers, and model what it looks like to live as a true follower of Jesus. The Way is seeing the gospel spread through families as students who attend The Way bring their families to churches.
